I enjoy taking pictures of scenes I have built. Making my images look realistic is a challenge that involves the quality of the scene, the lighting, the camera angle, and settings used.

I began building this model railroad layout in the winter of 2017, and I have continued to make improvements as my skills and knowledge improves. I have begun to write about these projects in the “Building the Model Railroad” section (under “Projects”).

Much like a real city, the scene is not purely dark at night. Rather, homemade streetlights and small LED lights located inside most buildings light up the diorama. Some images of this display are below.
